Hard wiring a portable GPS

I used to have my garmin NUVI on this proclip mount before I mounted this Navsgo gps w backup camera. My USB wire runs from the GPS down into the steering column, across behind the instrument panel, and down behind the panel to the left of the radio, then tucked into the carpet/ trim and run back to the back of the center console compartement (access w back removed) and into the compartement cig lighter/ USB adapter. All it cost was an extension usb cable and usb/cig adapter. and everything is hidden except for a few inches from the gps. Power is on when ig is on.

This is tricky because of the mini fuses Lexus uses on these models. I had my Valentine 1 radar detector hard wired to the fuse box by an automotive stereo store. My local garage did my previous cars but this 2011 was not having any of it. $40 and one hour later , I was good to go.
