alright, so here's what yo do: You push the brake light to the right (driver side) which will make it slide. You can then lift it up towards you and unplug the wire. That's all! I tried this out too to make sure it was corect.

I love this forum! So many thanks to jacobjohn! I had tried earlier to push to the right and it didn't move. With your confirmation I gave it a little tap and it moved. I've got it out and tomorrow I will drop it by the tint shop and see if the tint will adhere to the surface of the housing. If not, I'll try painting.

Seconds! I am going to my tint guy tomorrow to fill in the cut out or just get the rear window redone.

Well, I went to the tint guy today and he said that the tint would not stick to the vinyl brake light housing. I wanted to try it so I got some scrap tint and took it home. I found it stuck to the vinyl so I decided to put it back in the car and watch for it to peel off. I was pleased with the results. Check out the "after" picture.

haha, no problem guys! I was surprised it wasn't on the forums to begin with. At least we know now!

@ jgks300, you should just have the whole thing redone instead of having a cut out. Would probably look cleaner, because you would have a possible gap or overlap
@ poqman, looks nice. Might i ask what percent tint did you use on the vinyl? Why not try a darker tint? From the image, if looks like its slightly tinted, but it probably looks better in real life! What happened to the window tint?
