How to disable BT phone auto-answering
ES350/2009/iPhone 4
How do I disable BT phone auto answering? If I don't pickup phone withing 3 rings, it pickup's automatically. If I reject a call then I think it disconnects without redirecting caller to the voice mail.
Thanks

Chances are the phone is set to auto answer itself; the car won't auto answer for you in my experience. I know there's a setting on my android phone to do this, but it's disabled by default.

Yeah thats a setting likely on your phone itself. The system doesn't have an auto answer function.

My 2011 ES answers the phone automatically
In my Acura MDX, for the same phone with same settings, I have to take the call.
I too would like to know how to disable it.

If there is similar information about iPhone 4 compatibility on the Acura website, you will likely find that your MDX Bluetooth system is not compatible with the iPhone 4 auto answer function.
Honda/Acura may actually be following the Bluetooth SIG's specifications more closely than Toyota/Lexus. Apple marches to it's own drummer which is one of the reason's I will not buy its products. Some car manufacturers have been increasingly bending their Bluetooth implementations to be compatible with iPhones due to their popularity.

Disabling auto answer
if you press the info button it will take you to the “information” screen. From here tap on “Telephone” than settings on the bottom left corner. Once here you’ll see all settings to configure the phone. Go into “Screen” to the left of Bluetooth. From here you can disable “Auto Answer” make sure you tap ok once you select your desired preference so it saves. Hope this helped.
