Default The yellowish bulbs on the side when the headlights are on...

Does anyone know the size of this bulb and how easy it is to swap out? I would like to upgrade the bulb to LED if possible in order to match the Xenon headlights.

Also, has anyone had any success changing out the fog light bulbs themselves or is it more trouble than its worth?

Thanks

The bulb on the side is a No. 194 -- I've swapped mine out for an LED that matches more closely with the HID

the fog lights are a very easy swap. Next time you're under the car to change the oil, just remove the two plastic covers towards the front underside and you'll have access to the lights.

Thanks for the quick response. Is bulb 194 a simple plug and play or will I have to remove the headlight assembly to get to the bulb?

It's very simple. you can access it through a flap at the front wheel well. It's held on by some screws.

Removing the front tires or jacking your car up and turning the wheel to one side will make room for you to access the flap.

how about the bulb size of the other light on the other side of the HID headlight near the grill? has anyone replaced it? how easy/hard is it?

You must be talking about the DRL/Hi-beam bulb. That particular is a 9005 bulb. Very easy to replace. Just remove the top plastic engine covers and you'll immediately have access to it.

I will be doing the same along with the 194 bulbs. I found these while searching through the club lexus forum. Not a bad price and solid reviews from what I can tell.

Use code GoJDM for another 10% off.

Can you install the 9005 with the decoder and maintain the factory warranty?

Thanks.

V-leds are the brightest. I tried a lot of vendors like superbright, ijdm, autolum... just not as bright as v-leds.com

- remember to join their facebook page to get the coupon
- changing the bulbs will not void warranty

Are there any led's strong enough to work as highbeams? Or is that link just a gimick to get you to buy the drl/highbeam leds?

Are you talking about the yellowish bulb at the top at the fender which is the side marker light that shows yellow in front?
That's the bulb I want to change to a LED for a white look.
On the '12 at least, there's a white light line along the bottom of the headlight housing to mimic the LEDS are on the new IS,GS and others. That side marker yellow inside at the top of the headlight housing at the fenders has got to go with a LED.

I'm changing out the fog lights to these.Nice match to the HIDs.Used them in other Lexus vehicles I've owned.

Do these V-LEDS throw more light? I just changed my fogs out with Hoen 9006 this past weekend, and, while they look great, I can't tell any difference when I turn them off and on.

I'm looking for a lot more white light out of my fogs (I'm getting old)

Thanks.

LEDs do not produce more light in most cases.
Strictly aesthetics.
If you want real light (lumens) out of your fogs, you have to go with an HID kit for you fog lights..
