Perhaps I should have clarified. My statement of 'legal' = you probably won't get busted for it. After all, something's only illegal if you get caught

Yes,more 'unlawful'.

besides...is an inspector REALLY going to think twice of a lexus pulling in to get inspected with HIDs so long as they're not an outrageous color? Nope. Keep your fogs off and you'll be fine. Now a civic that comes in with obnoxiously bright purple 30000K HIDs? Yes, but that's just asking for it.

changed out mine today......here is the results........

Turned out pretty good I thought. Was fairly easy. 2 Bolts and one screw. The access panel was in the front of the fender wells, and it sure was a tight fit to get my hands in there, but was able to turn the wheels from side to side to get better access, and didn't have to jack the car up. Only took about 5 minutes each side, I think the hardest part was getting the light seated back into the assembly as you can't really see through your hand. I got the bulbs from V-LED's........here is the link.........

I also got the fog lights in the same shipment, but I think I am going to try and tackle those tomorrow night.

ah, dude. you were talking about that light up and to the right the whole time?? I thought you were talking about the DRL as in the low voltage high beam DRL. Yeah the parking lights are super easy. I'd even venture a guess (as i said) that a can-bus bulb will work in the finnicky turn signal also (I'll be guinea-pigging this myself soon...and no that's not a racist statement as I myself am italian )

Also, for anyone curious about the hyperflash/error msg from changing the turn signals to LED, iJDMtoy has your answer:

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/7440-LED-Hy...s-p/aa1049.htm

And despite the really high price (more than the HID kit I'm ordering Im really interested if these would work in the front signal:

I don't think the switchback lights will work with our turn signal since the switchback lights act as both parking lights and turn signals, while our cars have separate lights for those functions. Those are really expensive LEDs though, and I guess its worth it because those are freaking bright!

Yup, that was them. Pretty easy to install, just have to remove the plastic splash guard from the bottom, but plug and play.

yeah...but that's what I'm trying to figure out is how they actually work...because the signal is actuated by effectively shorting the ground via the relay...so then once the ground is re-established with the signal off, wouldn't they just go white?
