Default Moon Shell Mica--Part 2--BETTER PHOTOS!

We had some great sun today, so I tried to get some better photos in the sun--I think it worked!

Again, I'm trying to show that there's at least a weak connection between the Lexus Moon Shell Mica and some real Moon Shells--thinking that the colors in the actual Moon Shells were the basis/catalyst/motivator for the Lexus color. Note that the more vivid colors in the shells are around the center of the "Tiger Eye" and they are faded closer to the edge.

Anyway, these show the car's actual color much better than my previous photo in the garage.

Enjoy--or not. BTW- Yes, I'm retired and don't have something better to do today. Getting ready for major surgery tomorrow.

I know that color and for some reason, it reminds me of my grandfather's 57 Chevy whenever I see it. Very nice how it matches the seashells. My Matador Red Mica '11 reminds me of a candy apple and Dorothy's slippers.

A very unique color indeed, but can't say it is the best looking colour for male drivers.

Hah! I really liked the color in the brochure and ordered one. It was the very first ES350 to arrive at my dealership. It looked just like the brochure....under the flourescent lights. Beautiful!

Then they drove it outside and the pinkish hue became evident in the sunlight.

I opted to wait for the next shipment.

I remember when the '07 came out with Moon Shell Mica it was polarizing. Wasn't it available for just a couple of model years?

It's not as bad with tinted windows (others can't see who's driving--just kidding!), but really, at my age--64--I could care less about the color itself. We wanted/needed a lighter color since we live in the desert, and our used '08 was in mint condition.

The decision to buy it was a no-brainer. Oh, maybe that's why the color doesn't bother me.

My wife loves it.
