Just purchased CPO ES - trouble with steering/alignment
Hi! I purchased a 2010 ES 350 a few weeks ago and am having an issue with the steering wheel/alignment that is frustrating me to no end.
When I hold the steering wheel so it's perfectly centered/straight the car pulls to the left in a big way. I tested this a few times on the highway center lane with no grooves or turns and consistently experience this. I do a lot of long distance highway driving so this bothers me even more.
I've had the car back to the Lexus service dept 3 times to repair/correct this and each time was given the vehicle back with the same issue. The first time they stated they did notice anything wrong. Second time I test drove it with a mechanic who confirmed the issue. Third time they kept the car overnight and said they got the steer wheel/alignment as center as they could get it - feels exactly as it did when I gave it to them.
Please help with suggestions on how I can get this resolved. The Lexus service department seem friendly enough but can't seem to get this fixed. Thanks

I thought a car should pull a little to the right not left so if something ever happened to the driver they'd veer off the road instead of into on coming traffic... Someone correct me if I'm wrong but when an alignment is performed they do not compensate for tire wear. Perhaps rotating the tires would help...? Just a thought.

The early '07s had this problem to the point where a TSIB was issued for it. Was nothing more than a realignment required to correct it. One would think that a simple realignment would correct your problem too. Keep after them!

Thanks everyone for the helpful info. The service dept replaced all four tires on the ES since I had another shop tell me they had some uneven wear. They're doing some tweaking on the alignment before giving it back.

Thanks again for the info. Got the car back and the steering wheel seems to be a bit more centered - but since I'm very sensitive to this, I can see it still slightly off. My other complaint was with experiencing a slight vibration. Replacing the 4 tires seems to have solved this.
