My Lexus stolen off my driveway - keyless entry crime
I went out of my front door on Monday morning and my car just wasn't there. There was no sign of breaking in (no smashed glass etc. Both key fobs were safely stored away in the house far from the car. The car was definitely locked.
The police told me that thieves had found a pretty simple vulnerability to make a mockery of the "security" around keyless entry systems.
I did some internet research and discovered that keyless entry car crime is rampant. In my area of London 3 cars per day get stolen this way.
I have spoken to Lexus to ask what are they doing about it and they had absolutely nothing to offer.
It is disgraceful that they are not taking this problem seriously at all.
