Default Need advice about scratch after repair

My cousin had a repair at a Lexus dealer
After picked it up, he drove straight to home. When getting out of the car, he noticed there was a scratch on the right rear passenger door

What can we do?
If the dealer refuse to fix that scratch free of charge what can we do ?
Is there any way to prevent similar problem?
Such as dealer takes pictures of the car when check in?
Thanks.

the longer you wait, the less of a chance you have. just tell them you didn't notice it until now. a legit dealer would own up to their mistakes. it happened to me but i checked the ride before i left the lot.

Gota do it quickly or they will say it's your fault. I always make a point of inspecting the car after a dealer service. I record mileage when I leave the car and check when I pick it up. Also walk around the car and check tires , wheels and body. I look at seats for marks or any other damage and then check under the hood for any spills or loose parts. Just a little habit . Oh I do expect it to be washed when returned.
