I have a 2007 ES350 w/out MARK LEVINSON SOUND SYSTEM.
I can change the system speakers and amplifier for the system MARK LEVINSON.
the cable from the amplifier is the same for use amplifier MARK LEVINSON?

I have the mark levinson UL and i would not suggest that leap, even thought it is ok for a premium system. I notice on my old car i have a good set of component and sub with 2 amplifiers and it sound as good, if not better than the mark levinson.

Frankly, you can get away with less for a better sound system.

To return to your question: you want to install the mark levinson amplifier in ?

You'll also have to install the ML head unit as well -- the ML amp really isn't a stand-alone component. As already suggested, if you're looking to upgrade your sound system, there are better options than going for the overrated ML system. I have the ML in my 2009, and while I've developed a workaround to coax much better sound out of it, and got a $1600 refund from Lexus corporate for it, if I was going to consider a sound upgrade for my ES, it would be a third-party solution!

The $ you would spend to duplicate the ML system would most likely buy a non oem set up that would blow the doors off the ML system. Just search for a real high end installer in your FL area.

To my understanding the Mark Levinson head unit can play DVDs is that true? I know it’s old school but I personally feel like that is reason enough to have the ML. Can the non ML units play DVDs? It’s rare to find a used ES350 in my area fully loaded. I have found a black/black 2008 model fully loaded except the ML unit but if I go for it wondering if a ML retrofit is possible and how hard it would be to install or if a dealer can do the retrofit. I got a Vw and the dealers are usually hesitant and not willing to retrofit certain things
