My 2007 has a little over 111,000. Runs great... It still has original brakes, and I just (today) put on the third set of tires, including the originals.

Off topic, but we just got back from driving on a portion of the BRP. Beautiful!! Also nice if you like to drive. We did it two years ago also.

Any mechanical issues over the last 111,000miles? I also have an 07' and want to know what to expect and you seem like the man with the most miles!

No, the car has been almost bulletproof. Most of the problems have been self-induced. I live in the desert (near Palm Springs), and the heat is hard on batteries. I've replace mine twice. I do mostly highway driving, so I'm very easy on brakes; I'm still on the original pads. I do have the problem with the engine revving up during the 3rd-4th shift, but that only happens when the car is cold, and then goes away. I'm so used to it, I keep forgetting to ask the dealer about it. I know there's a service bulletin that deals with that, but at 111K miles, I think I've gotten my last warranty repairs out of Lexus, at least on this car.

Cosmetically, the car has held up pretty well. It stays in a garage at night, so the paint is in pretty good shape. The only thing that really bugs me are the two switch pads on the steering wheel (radio and phone/voice command). Apparently they are baked from the heat, and they really look awful. Lexus wants over $400 to replace them, and they're so ugly, I'm really tempted to do it.

I trashed the right front parking sensor hitting a rubber highway cone at about 75mph, so I have the system turned off. I'd probably like to get that fixed someday, too. I also need a new windshield; the sand here is terrible, and the wind blows a lot, especially out by the Interstate where I do most of my driving. It is badly pitted, and there are a few stone chips that are too small to fix, but big enough to be annoying. A well-placed brick will solve that problem if it gets much worse. j/k

Otherwise, there have been no significant mechanical failures at all. It is by far the best, most reliable car I have ever owner (I'm 68 years old and have owned a LOT of cars).

Oh....one thing to mention. I've gotten good service from tires, but lost the last set prematurely due to bad alignment. That's a whole other story, but it is good to have it checked regularly. And keep the tires rotated it forces you to check for uneven wear.

im tempted to just replace mines already...to the '10 buttons...i dont forsee it to change much in connections so i might...have to do more research about it...but i may do a DIY if i have the time :-p

Belmondo, you should get the reflash for your 3 - 4 tranny flare. It will cure that.

My 07 has 84k, purchased Nov 06. On second set of tires and brakes. No other repairs, just normal maint.

WOW. You must drive subtle. At 43,000 miles, just put on 4th set of tires and front brakes and rotors. The original Michelins lasted 9,000 miles, the replacement set (at a substantial discount) lasted 11,000 miles or so, the third set was Kumho Solus and they lasted 19,000 miles or so. Now I have Kumho Ecsta Platinums (at a $40 per tire discount because of the short wear on the Kumho Solus). Rear brakes done by Lexus TSB at 19,000 miles and are still in good shape. I must drive like a mad man in comparison(but I really don't).

I don't think I drive subtle, but i'm not crazy either. I noticed on this forum that the miles we get from the original tires is not consistant at all. Seems to be all over the place. Could it be the roads?

My original tires and brakes were replaced between 45 and 50k. The second set of tires probably won't get me through the winter, so I'll be lucky to get another 2 to 4k out of them. They are michelins, but not exactly the same as the originals. The 2nd brakes are still fine.

PA roads are notorious for their lack of quality. Plus the soft Michelins that came on the car with 90% city / suburb driving = high tire wear.

I have a 2009 purchased new in 12/08. I have 6941 miles. My driving habits are frugal with my Lexus, I have to admit I baby it. I have a couple other vehicles that I use for work.
