Default HID Headlights on Low beam?

I really don't like them! Yes they are brighter and the swivel feature is great and High beam is fine too. But there is a very sharp cut off line at the top of the low beam light pattern. So when I am going down a steep hill with a very quick transition to going back up hill the road is dead black beyond 50 feet in front of the car! Not very safe. Sure I can turn on the highs and blind on coming traffic, but I really like more depth in a low beam. Anyone else notice this?

I agree on the sharp horizontal low beam cutoff. It is indeed too close - I would like to see a little farther ahead. Besides, on my car driver side is a bit lower than passenger side - I thought it is normal, but now have second thoughts...

I found instructions here how to adjust them, so I'll probably would try to raise them up a couple degrees.

Thanks! Good link. Tried to adjust mine this morning but a 6" long blade won't get to the adjusting screw. Will have to pick up a longer one today.

Default 6 inches

That blade should be plenty long. I think you missed the adjusting screw.

Adjusting the height will solve your problems. Just make sure not to go too high. Have a friend check at night in an oncoming vehicle, to make sure you are not blinding oncoming vehicles.

Well, I can see that its a half round gear sort of wheel in there, not a regular phillips head screw head. Will try again.
