Default ►►►Alarm with Remote Start - ALL EXPERTS INVITED!

I'm purchasing a 2007 Lexus ES 350 that comes w/ standard theft deterrant system, smart access (push start button and doors), navigation and key fob.

I wish to put into the car a high quality alarm with remote start WITHOUT adding an additional remote. That is, I wish to have this feature installed while continuing to use my factory key fob. Is this possible and if so how?? Also, what is the best system to use for this? The lexus dealer said he can install a remote starter made by Auto Mate and all warranties would remain in effect. Another goal to keep in mind is that I want to accomplish this WITHOUT comprimising any of the original factory equipment, electrical and setup.

PLEASE HELP!!!

It's a technical and universal question that I think can help all. Besides, there's not much happening in the ES forums. If any one can help, I would be grateful

I'm not an alarm expert but common sense tells me to say the following:

The key fob designed by the manufacture is a high level security device, without it the car won't start. In order to use an after market remote starter it would have to be able to mimic the manufacturer's fob. Most vendor obtain a 2nd key fob and hide it somewhere within the vehicle. Even though this approach works you're pretty much taking that security feature out of the loop and depending on the alarm system security feature.

I asked them. They can't help as their item won't work with push start button vehicles

What? I thought the intended vehicles for it were the IS & GS which both have push button engine start?

I got a remote starter on my IS. However I opted for an additional remote. The shop said they could add it into my key fob but it would make me loose the unlock button and I didnt want that.

The ES 350 already has an extemely sophisticated alarm - I doubt you could even find a better aftermarket setup

Default Which Remote Starter? Please Help!!

I'm purchasing a 2007 Lexus ES 350 that comes w/ standard theft deterrant system, smart access (push start button and doors), navigation and 2 key fobs. The key fobs can perform about 4 inherent functions (doors, open windows, trunk release, seat memory).

I wish to put into the car a high quality alarm with remote start WITHOUT adding an additional remote. That is, I wish to have this feature installed while continuing to use my factory key fob and not loose any of its inherent features. Is this possible and if so how?? Also, what is the best system to use for this?

One lexus dealer said he can install a remote starter made by Auto Mate and all warranties would remain in effect. However, I checked with 2 other dealers who said this was not possible and if they installed a remote starter, I would have to accept it with a 2nd remote. Is this a good idea? Wouldn't this mean they would have to use a bypass module to subdue the built in theft deterrant system?

If I'm going to have to add a 2nd remote anyway, then I have someone really good in the aftermarket arena. He recommends Viper 5900 or 771XV. Should I go with him? He says that there is a federal law that can not void the Lexus factory warranty. In the end, I want to add this new alarm with remote starter WITHOUT comprimising any of the original factory equipment, electrical, computer (navi) software and setup.

What's the best way to do it? PLEASE HELP!!!
