Default Accident leading to a new ES350

Well my dad got into a pretty bad car accident and all the airbags deployed(six in total). Dad is okay with a lot of black and blue areas but not a scratch on him and a little shaken up. The car is totalled so I decided to reward him with a brand new ES350. Did all the negotiating over the internet yesterday and signed the papers today! Got him a White Premium Plus ES350 with cashmere leather. All the options, Nav, Hid's, AFS, Intuitive Park Assist with Rear view camera and Preferred Accessory Package. The MSRP was 41,615 and I negotiated a price of $36,700. Even with all the problems with the car listed here and having the transmission flare on me personally when I was looking to buy the ES350 about a year ago(ended up with 06 ES330) I decided it was worth the gamble as I want my dad to be in the safest car yet pamper him with luxury. I am keeping my fingers crossed but I am excited about us being a Lexus family now!

king, glad to hear that your dad is OK. Thank goodness for all of the air bags and safety features built into today's cars. IMO you're putting him into a nice ride. I'm guessing he'll really like it. We still enjoy ours after 13+ months and would buy another one.

Yeah, the internet manager told me this is the first ES she's sold below invoice BUT the bigger thing to her was retaining a customer who'd bought from them before and did not want to see me buy from a competitor. I had just called her to see if she would match the other dealers price. Not only did she match it but gave me another $500 because I was buying a gift for my dad and fathers day is Sunday. That really touched me and she truly gained a customer for life. So I do have to give props to Emma G. at Lexus of Watertown. I have already called her boss and corporate to let them know I appreciate the gesture put forth by her.

Congrats!

I'm happy to hear that your father is safe and healthy. I'm sure he'll enjoy the car as you have enjoyed your ES330.

Post pics when you get a chance...

Glad your Dad is okay. Nice of you to purchase him a new ES350. He'll love it. And your saleslady sounds wonderful. Only if all car salesmen/women where like that.
