Listen to Audio After Shut-Down of Engine
ok...I thought it was kinda' odd that one needed to push the Start button again after you turned off the engine to continue listening to audio...you know those, "...bottom of the ninth, two on, two out, a two two count and......" voila! no-audio moments.
I found that if you put the tranny in neutral, and THEN push the start/stop button the audio continues to play..
Thought others might find this little trick of use.

Can anyone duplicate this?
Today I stopped the car (with a CD playing), put the parking brake on, shifted into neutral and shut down the engine. Then I shifted into Park. As expected the CD kept playing.
Then I decided to go into the store so I turned off the CD by pressing the radio dial button and audio systen turned off so the CD stopped.
When I opened the door to get out a buzzer-tone was playing and the car would not lock.
I think Mrs. Lexus' overwhelming set of restrictions was confused by this trick to keep the audio system playing when you park.

Did you turn off the ignition? When shutting off in neutral it goes directly into "accessory" mode. When you were ready to exit, you should have pressed the start button twice (once for the "on" position, once more for off)to turn off the car. Sounds like all you did was turn off the radio (CD) and it wouldn't let you lock the car with the ignition on.
