Automatic Sound Leveling
I am a bit confused on the ASL. I have the NAV on the '07 ES350, and it seems that you can only turn it on and off, but you can't adjust the sensitivity.
When I am at 70MPH down the highway, I don't see any significant change in the volume. There does seem to be a bar display that is suppose to show you the leveling effect, but I never see it get higher than 2 bars, even when I am traveling at freeway speeds.
Is there something I am missing?
Chris

I heard Lexus's ASL is adjusted by noise level not by speed. That's also reflect your cabin is very quiet on highway, am I right?
Once I drove a GM car (forgot the name), it has ASL adjusted by speed, it's terribly loud at high spped

Interesting huh???
Here's another point of interest, it's the Toyota Way!
The Scion... Has automatic up and down windows. You only get a driver's auto down in anything but the Avalon/Sequoia/Cruiser, with an exception for the XLE Camry that has auto down for both driver and passenger.
On the Camry with JBL like the ES, the ASL is unadjustable... But the 4-banger POS Camry CE gets adjustable ASL?
I've never been able to understand the package choices for any Toyota vehicle I've bought, and it's usually the pidliest chit like the examples above... I think it's an Engrish thing reading the set-up specs?
