First car: FDIM (First Drive In Morning, shifts are between 2400-2600 rpm’s)
Day Driven:

1 = FDIM a flare of 150 and 150 flare after work 9 hours later. At 1,433 miles
2 = FDIM 0
3 = FDIM 200
4 = FDIM 0
5 = FDIM 150
6 = FDIM 0
7-12 = FDIM 200
13 = FDIM 550

Start of the New Car: FDIM (First Drive In Morning, shifts are between 2400-2600 rpm’s)
Day Driven:

1 = FDIM a flare of 150 and 150 flare after work 9 hours later. At 25 miles
2 = FDIM 0
3 = FDIM 150
4 = FDIM 150
5-13 = FDIM 200
14 = FDIM 400
15 = FDIM 600
16 = FDIM 200
17-18 FDIM 0
19 = FDIM 200
Total drive days so far. At 385 miles
oso...,

Very similar start as to intensity of RPM in both cases in my own experiences though I did not keep details as you did. I really think we are tied on my 2nd car revealing this as soon as it did on the morning of the first day after picking it up afternoon prior even though I had started it stone cold before driving it home.

dunno,

You'd have far worse odds at the crapshoot table this is nearly a sure bet

Never because then toyota will screw them! It is almost like when you go to disney world you know stuff must go wrong but they always have a way to cover it up so you never find out. Same thing here they are very shaddy when it comes to the lexus brand. I had worked for the dealership for about 2 years and saw stuff like that and thought it was just the dealer but then from a corp inside it's worst. I still have a lot of friends at dealers and they are geting worried about quality build. The corp side just doesn't care beside that they will prob some how block this thread. Trust me they are even on this board! Keep in mind the "ES CUSTOMER" as they are called in corp is the most demanding customer. Meaning they are cheap and want everything for free and to be perfect but don't want to pay for it.

Thanks purebliss. For some time now some of us have quietly speculated (not in public) that there have been Lexus Corp people on this board. If you are saying this is the case, then I for one believe you. Keep up the good work posting what's going on behind the scenes - we appreciate it

Absolutely true. Just don't be dumb like I was during the debacle of former car and answer a PM from anyone claiming to work for Toyota/Lexus who turns out actually does stating they want to help you.....unless you feel your personal data taken down and shared among corporate, followed by denial of all scheduled repairs and being left stuck in a defective car is some form of help.

I'm an "ES CUSTOMER". I don't know how many of you other cheap b@stards got your cars for free but I gave the dealership ~$44,000 for the one I bought. I must admit it's true...I would like it to be perfect but I realize that that's not realistic when we're talking about the cheap model that I bought. Maybe the $75,000 models don't feature the wind noise and an engine that sounds like it came out of a diesel truck. Does anyone know how much Lexus charges for a car that includes a properly working transmission? Apparently more than this "ES CUSTOMER" was willing to spend...

Lexus has decided to introduce Wind Noise as a feature on the all new LS460. Must have been from it being such a popular and appreciated item on the new ES line

The diesel truck sound though didn't make it to the LS. They probably couldn't work out how to make a V8 sound like a diesel truck. They did a good job on some of the V6 engines though.

Seriously though, the LS does have the wind noise problem too, and to date there is no fix. There are a few threads on this already in the new LS460 forum.
