I am 60. Previous car was BMW 740iL. Really miss the BMW but I am very satisfied with the Lexus. A move down in ride and handling but a much more practical car. Purchased it in April 06 and now have just a little over 18k miles. Fortunately I have not experienced any of the problems posted on this forum.

I had just bought a new a Nissan Altima but just couldn't make myself "bond" with the vehicle. After only three months I sold the Nissan and started a searce for a replacement. I have always liked BMW and presently own a 2005 Z4 that has given me great times. I drove the Mercedes, BMW 5 & 6 series but after driving the Lexus decided to give it a try. No regrets at all ! This is a great car. At age 58 I think I finally found the car for me.

At this rate, you are probably going to be rolling in Ferrari by your 25th b-day

Saw Collin Ferrell drive his Mecedes SLR McLaren outside my office yesterday. It made a lot of noise and looks pretty cool... but I was thinking whether it is worth the $450,000 price tag. I mean that's more than 10X I paid for my ES350 UL. No way that McLaren is 10 times better than my ES350 UL....maybe 2 times better? Ok...3X better.

Anyway, my demographics is the SAME as my bizzarro bro Twister. I'm 32. My wife drives an 05 Highlander. We have a toddler girl also.

Before the ES350 I drove a Mazda Miata, and before that a Camry. All my life I have driven 4-cylinder cars so this V6 is awesome in comparison. I have almost 10k miles on my ES, and so far it drives as good as the day I bought it last July. Very smooth ride...very quiet mostly...except slight wind noise above 50 mph. I love pulling up and passing people now. Unfortunately, I just got a red-light violation ticket last week. Got caught by a traffic camera that was so detailed that the picture showed the texture patterns of the tie I was wearing! Truly amazing photo...and $159 price tag! Guess I'll drive more carefully now....but this car is so amazing at higher speeds......Im tempted to drive to san francisco just for the heck of it.

Hi all!
Well next Tuesday I'm trading my ' 03 350Z in for an ES350.I,m 54 former sport bike rider and Jap car enthusiast.
Despite the tranny horendos on this Forum I'm going ahead .The 2003 350Z had all kinds of troubles reported-they were repaired and the car was satisfactory for me.
Will follow up soon.....
