for you guys who've gone through this, did the service dept handle it, or the sales dept?
I did read you should start with the Service Manager, I would recommend the Assistant Director. The service director will work for you and call Lexus to open a case.
That's what I did.

Here's a thought: It is still early in CA, make some more phone calls and find out directly from your dealer what they have to say about this process.

In my experiences what you were told is not accurate, I even had two letters overnighted to me from Lexus detailing when and where my car would be looked at, the dealer did not handle this part at all for me. And prior to overnight letters, phone contact, all generated as a result of me calling the 800 number.

right, customer satisfaction units come as extra units from the area office, does not effect my allocation at all.
