Yes,
I was given a firm diagnosis for it on my former ES350, improper valve setting, though repairs offered to address it and expense for doing it were denied by Lexus corporate.

Nice diagnosis by Lexus. My service manager's excuse was fuel injection noise. Funny - the IS250 and RX350 loaners did not have it nor does our new Impala and Grand Cherokee. The local Lexus service department still does not answer the phone, even with four service writers. Goes right into voice mail with maybe a callback the same day or most likely the next day.

Is it very few customers complaining, or there a wide spread issue with respect to how issues are handled?

Ticking, and more. it's the sound in my sig.
The loaner cars seem to be quiter. The loaner I have now is my 3rd one, which was built in the same month as mine.
Could it have something to do with the brand of gas you put in?
I'm not too bothered, because the last gen mercedes E430 sounds louder than mine.

I'm thinking after the first oil change, the noise may go away. Our first free oil change is due in March. Have been thinking of switching over to Mobil One synthetic oil as the oil flows freer in cold weather, getting to the valves quicker than regular oil.
