Bizzaro-bro, shame on you for pointing out such an ugly thing. Man, that spoiler actually reduces the coolness of the car. Looks like a cardboard glued onto the back. hahahhaha....wait maybe it IS a cardboard!

I agree. Does a sedate family/entry level luxury car need a spoiler? They're not functional. Maybe if you were going to go on weekend rallies or run at Daytona. I see a lot of Accords, Camrys, Impalas, Caddies, Lincolns etc. with spoilers and to me they look like add ons, and don't make them look sporty at all. A lot of the Caddies & Lincolns with spoilers also have whitewalls, vinyl roof and gold package. Just personal opinion I guess.

I had to edit my original post yesterday to add "", didn't you see it? BUT even with that, I would be curious to just put one of these on top of the trunk to see how it looks. It doesn't mean I would want to permanently stick it in there. Just curiousity.... No offense, but what do you call the current factory "lip spoiler" on this family luxury cruiser? Maybe it blends in OK with darker colors, but on a light color its.... well, like I said I don't want to offend anybody cause its my personal opinion

FWIW--I had my car at the dealer to address among other things, the paint finish of the spoiler. Unfortunately, the service manager was able to show me another brand-new ES 350 whose spoiler had the same barely-perceptible orange peel finish. I can live with it (i.e., I've seen worse orange peel on factory paint jobs--especially on quite a few domestic makes/models), but figured it wouldn't hurt to call them on it, given that we're talking about a Lexus.

We just got our ES350 and it did not come with the spoiler. Our neighbor bought hers a week before us and it had the spoiler. I like the spoiler, but my wife does not (her car). Anyway, went back to the dealer and he said its a gamble if the ES350 comes with a spoiler or not. Thankfully my 07 GX470 offered one as an option, so guess we are both happy.

The spoiler is an extra cost option for the ES350. I suspect the dealer meant it was a gamble as to whether their inventory of cars had the option or not.

I watched the video, but he forgot to do one important thing. After drilling the holes in the trunk lid, he didn't paint the area to prevent rusting. It's never a good idea to leave raw metal!
