1996 ES300 pulls to the right

1996 ES300 pulls to the right
Just got a 96 es300 from carmax. pulls to the right, had an alignment done, new tires no change. alighment guy says its because of torque steer. I don't buy it.... any suggestions.

Did they do a 4 wheel alignment? This type of alignment is very important and generally costs more $$.
It has to be done by a good front end shop that knows what they're doing!
The fact that the mechanic told you it's because of engine torque makes me feel that he's not too swift when troubleshooting this problem and possibly not a good mechanic to start with!
