Over here $250-300 for all 4 glass and backglass. Also depends on type of tint. Are you suppose to give tip to the tinter?

Yup, think about it, tinting is a business.

Shop around and find your best price.

I had 6 windows done (including the front windshield ) for $250. I checked with 4 or 5 different places and was quoted prices btw $178.00 and $450.00.

You live in NC, and I believe your tint laws are max 35% all-round, and therefore window tinting in NC probably is more popular versus places such as Chicago where tinting isn't popular because front tint is illegal.....thus shoot for something btw $100 and $200.

you mentioned that you had your front windshield done too. How do you like that? Does it make any kind of difference in your visibility? Lastly, do you know where i can go to get the exacts on tinting laws.

for $200 they gave me a lifetime warranty (well, as long as the store is open anyway), but i only had to show the receipt since they did the 5% under the table (cuz its illegal)

Lifetime warranties are standard in the business. I've already taken it back twice for perfecting the tint.


Front windshield tint is helpful. It cuts glare during the day and especially helps at night. Don't go any darker than 55%; if you do do your front windshield, I'd say 70% is ideal. The added bonus is your car looks much cleaner

In regards to your second question, I don't have a site off the top of my head, but try searching "tint laws" in google and I'm sure you'll find some good resources.

xenon, you mean you tinted the entire windshield?? I thought you were talking about the top strip...ever gotten pulled over for that?

The top strip is tinted darker than limo @ 2.5%, while the rest of the windshield is tinted @ 70%, with this contrast I hope cops don't think the front windshield is tinted.

If you read my post on the previous page, yes, I was pulled over and ticketed for tinted front side windows, but not front windshield.
