that's cool, that's what i wanted to do, but it's illegal to have ANY tint on the front windows in cali. but i thought just having them on the back would look awkward so i got a light tint on the front windows. it's still illegal, but doesn't stand out as much as having 17% all around, yet it blends great. good luck with yours though!

in NY 35s are legal ppl get away with 25s and 5s look sick so sometimes it can be worth the risk of a couple of tixx.

Help me out too. I got the Beige color 95 with regular Lex alloy wheels, could of had chrome but that's a long story. I am trying to decide to get gold mirror tint for all windows or just get regular smoke tint? Think gold would look good with my goldish color lex same as snboarder8's.

snboarder, your car looks great man! is that stock paint? looks like it just rolled off the assembly line...and the different tints on front and back are not even noticeable until you mention them, good job with the blend...

nysupraman i'm in the same position as you, i'm in rochester, new york, and i'm trying to decide on a tint for my car...i think i'm already gonna attract enough attention with my white instead of amber blinkers, so don't know if i wanna risk 5% tint...would be cool though...i was thinking of 25% for my car, when u decide post some pics!

Be on guard, you're not as safe as you may think with 50%.

Front window tint is illegal in Illinois as it is in California. I went with 55% on the front and 21% on the rear three.

At about 2am last Friday night (or Saturday morning...2AM ), a cop pulled me over and ticketed me for the windows, white signals, license plate covers, etc...

How did she tell the front windows were tinted???? Nobody knows, but at night 50% looks much, much darker than it looks during the day.

Thankfully, my dad is a very well known and influential person in Chicago and the judge dropped the tickets, but I just want to caution you to be careful. Next time, the judge said it would be a $250 fine

Just get a very light tint all the way around..... if you go lite on the front and dark on the back it doesnt look good. I used to have limo DARKEST on my old car. Im very happy with just a lite tint on all my windows now. I CAN SEE when Im backing up my car at nite. A light tint is better then no tint.

Get a 35% mirror tint. It's legal and when it's not too bright outside, it looks just like a mirror, can't see inside but can see outside..like one-way mirror. I had those silver mirror tint on my old Lexus that got totalled.

i have 5% all around on my 97 es300 - its a ***** at first to get used to it (darkness in the back), but its not too bad

well, yes i have a long record with the law, but nothing on tint...im just waiting for state inspection in august to see what they say, i dont think theyll care, really

I live in indiana and i have 25% tint all 5 windows ,absolutely love it looks good and no problems with the law. it cost me 150$.
