^^ they're not tinted though...

They're convex and thats the color they come in for some reason.

VW/Audi/BMW/euros have this as an option and standard on many.

Like the 99-05 Audi A4 has a tiny pass side mirror since its convex and gets better vision than our full size ones.

You'd be hard pressed to find an oem-fit convex for our cars, i've looked. And tint is just retarded since you're obstructing your view.

Nope, I meant Mirrors but it appears in Cali it is OK to place tint on mirrors: So you are good to go here in Cali.

Your side mirrors? Weird... mine have a hue of green/gold on them. And the only thing that auto-dim's is the rear view inside the car - to my knowledge

^Mine is a 2001 and the side mirrors autodim for me as well as the rearview mirror. They seem t change color and the dealer side all the mirrors were auto-dimming. It should be standard as i don't remember this being an option

Question Window Tint

Hi,
Finally pulled the trigger and purchased a '05 ES 330. Its color is "Champagne" and the interior is a light beige with the golden colored wood. Absolutely gorgeous!
I'm glad I listened and bought a "newer" year vehicle.

I would like to have the windows tinted, however, my head is hurting from all the articles I've been reading. I'm finding myself becoming paralized through over analysis. The car has NO after market tinting. It does have Nav and Sat radio.

I need your help again.

Ceramic vs non-ceramic vs dyed vs something with metal in it......
As for the color of the tint someone suggested a "natural" colored tint....
What % would you suggest? I live in California. So, legal issues to contend with. So, not too dark. Maybe 20%. Maybe the quality/brand of film will make the difference in heat reduction?

I might add that I am NOT looking to make this a car to take cruising. Just became addicted with tinted windows on my Avalon. I am also interested in keeping the interior cooler and from keeping any fading down to a minimum.

This forum has been a wealth of knowledge as well been inviting too. I hope to before and after pictures.

      Thanks in advance

where in cali are you? the best tint would be ceramic non metallic for you, i'd go 35% all around or 20 in back, and 35/45 in front.. depends where you are again. but make sure you go with ceramic, as they are better at keeping heat away, and doesn't effect your electronics

huper nano ceramic tints are the best, but they are around $500 for a dual layer in cali.

      Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I live in San Diego, away from the coast. This
past summer was the warmest in many a year. Multiple days with 100+
degree weather. I don't mind paying a little more to have better heat
      reduction.
From what I read, I can use a ceramic tint and not need to be extremely
      dark. Is this correct?
I look forward to more advice.

      Looks great.

I got a similar film measured at 35%. Gives it a crisp OEM look, but not overdone and obviously been tinted. Really adds flow to the car!

      ^ tint?

If so, just as the window would... you know, like on the millions of cars on the road with tints.
