Exclamation ES300 2001 door locks stop working after a few cycles.

Hello Everyone.

I have a 2001 ES300, I think this is a known issue with all these cars that the central locking system stops working after a few cycles or on hot summer days.
There is little to no movement in the locks when tried.

For example : All locks would work fine in when you first get into car but if tried a few cycles, you would feel that the locks are not working as they should.

I do not think the actuators would be faulty, or they would never work .

It looks like a capacitor being weak and takes time before it charges and delivers the power to all the actuators.

Can anyone confirm this and help me find the location of the capacitor (if there is any) and how it can be replaced.

Thank you very much.

Yeah I'd like to know about this, too. My '99 does this. All door lock motors working, sometimes master window switch unlock will only unlock driver's door. Only other issue I have is the front passenger's power window automatically goes down unless the window lockout switch is engaged.

Default Can't find a capacitor in wiring diagram.

I have found a generic power lock system information, where they do show a capacitor but I can't seem to find one in ES300 wiring diagram. Could it be that they are not showing it ?

Cool. I'm going to the junkyard this weekend, and will try and get a master switch assembly and test that. I just realized also that the battery I had in it was pretty weak from no use of the car for several weeks while I was fixing everything up.

Please do let me know what you find, battery in mine was previously replaced but that didn't fix this issue. It gets worse in summers, though.
