Default White smoke from tailpipe after changing pcv valve

What could be the issue? Before replacing the valve, a faint white smoke would rise (mostly) from the back of the engine near the firewall.

It's most likely the engine burning oil. it's possible the crankcase is being pressurized by blow by (worn rings) and that's pushing oil vapour back into the inlet through the pcv valve.
