Stabilization bar broke?

Default Stabilization bar broke?

Ok so i was turning into the drive way at an angle when i hear a pop sound near my tire (front passenger side) i entered slowy keep in mind so i got off and checked the tire and the struts but nuthing was damaged i still had good turning and it was driving normal at low speed and high speed untill i saw this Broken stabilization bar? Does anybody know where i cud buy to replace it ?

Wow never heard of a sway bar breaking as they are made of hi-strength steel. Do you live in northern CA close to the ocean ? you can buy one one from a salvage yard, E-bay, cheaply.

What kind of car?

I'd check E-bay 1st, might want to replace the rubber bushings with new too.

Check the ES threads in the ES forum too.

Looks like a clean break, not a rust break, perhaps from a shear force due to weak metal and/or some crack already in the metal.

I'd be curious to know why it broke. It looks like it has zero rust underneath. The northern cars will rot away and then things start breaking, but look at that pic, that vehicle looks spotless underneath.

Massive cornering Gs. OP you sure you weren't Tokyo Drifitng on the way home?

p.s.: There may have beeen interference with the Lower Control Arm. Those two parts come very close to each other on the rebound.
