That kit is for upgrading a non HID system the connector you are asking about would go to the conventional headlight connector.

You should return the kit or sell it off your car already had HID lamps an aftermarket kit won't improve your lighting much if at all. If you want a different colour and/or somewhat brighter bulbs then you can get replacements. To get a more modern look and better light you'll need to retrofit projectors into your housings.

The higher temperature you go, the less usable light there will be. Yes, aesthetics are cool, but don't forget your headlights are a safety mechanism. 4500k is an OEM color, 5500k is a more natural white, and 6500k you'll be getting a blue tinge, 8000k and it'll be blue (and significantly less light output).
For your own safety, I strongly recommend not going above 6500k. There's a reason why reputable HID sellers don't really sell bulbs hotter than 6500k.

There are a zillion D2R xenon bulbs on Ebay in just about any colour you want. But don't be "that guy" and go with a 10k lamp you won't be able to see properly and you'll annoy other drivers.

10k is pretty dumb. 6500 is the most you should go to get a bluer look while still having usable light and to do that all you need to do is buy the correct bulb that fits your HID just at the desired temp. I must be in the minority that thinks blue headlights look cheap.

If you have an 05-06 with projector halogen lights, an HID kit won't work well in there, because the cut-off shield will block a lot of light, I've tried it myself.
If you have factory HID's in 02-04 ES300 housings then all you need is replacement D2R bulbs with a different color.
