Seat Belt Latch is not working
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. I own a Lexus 2005 ES 330. My passenger side seat belt is not locking into the latch. The latch is having some issues. Since it is a safety issue, should not it be covered by Lexus? I took it to one dealer and they quoted me 240 dollars. This is ridiculous. Being a single guy, most of the time I dont even need that seat belt latch..Could you guys give me some solution. Do baby seat belt lock guard works?

Here is a thread I found saying WD-40 MAY work.
You could try doing it yourself by sourcing a part from a local junkyard or pick-and-pull.
Considering the age of the car and how relatively "uncommon" the problem is, Lexus/Toyota wouldn't have to send out a TSB/warranty recall--read as, you have to pay for it.
