Default Just purchased 1998 ES300 question

I just purchased a 1998 ES300 with 176,000kms on it and I have a few questions:

The back light of the ac heater climate temperature control unit switch panel. It doesn't appear to have back light on the rear defrost & front defrost buttons, fresh air, and recirculate buttons; is this normal? If not, is there a fix?

Also, the trunk release and fuel door release buttons are not back lit either, is this normal?

The power windows go up and down ok but are noisy. i wouldn't think it is normal so a fix?

Check out my video on upgrading the back lighting to LEDs:

The trunk buttons aren't back lit on the ES, which is pretty sad.

Just curious... How much did you pay for it and what's your fuel consumption? Thanks

I paid $1,000cdn. About $2,000 in repairs, maintenance, and snow tires to do. I don't know the fuel consumption yet. Just got the car.

Correct, to be clear the $2,000cdn includes, brakes being done; new pads, turned front rotors, replacement rear rotors & calipers, timing belt & water pump, valve covers leaking oil, new snow tires as this is my winter vehicle. Everything works though, just the radio lcd issue and some bulbs on the climate control panel out. No rust anywhere. A couple of door dings and minor bumper scraps. Drives great after the brakes were done.

1k for a 98 es300 with low mileage is a very good price
Good luck with your new car
