Outside handle won't open door. Question.
Hey guys. I can't open my car from the outside handle. Inside works fine. I took the panel off and I found the problem, the clip on the rod came off the handle peice. I know what the problem is and found some things online saying how to fix it but how the heck do you access it. I can't get to the peice where the rod connects to the handle, I can barely fit my hand in to move the rod around. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Fixed one a few years ago, think I used a couple of long needle nose to get the clips on. Really just trial and error and a little patience. Only other thing I've heard people do is drill a hole for better access.

I replaced mine a few rears back using my hand. Took a lot of patience. Also be sure you get the correct part. The first clip Lexus sold me was either defective or the wrong part. It looked OK but was a hair too small
