2003 Lexus ES300 Power Button
So on a different forum, I found out that the 2nd gen GS had a power button which kept the engine within the power band longer, and shortened downshifts. I also learned that this feature was available on the 1st gen ES, the Land Cruiser and even on the 4Runner. However, I have looked everywhere in my car and I can't find anything related to this button. The only thing I could find was the TC Off button and that was it. Did lexus decide not to give the 4th gen ES a power button?

The PWR/NORMAL button on 1997+ ES went the way of the Dodo.

Aww man. I was hoping a PWR button would help the 1MZ not get passed on the highway. It looks like I have the most beige of ESs; no PWR button and the 1MZ instead of the 3MZ on the 2004+ ESs.

I just downshift to 2 (if my speed is low enough) to make the car go skrtskrt on the highway. It's pretty sad when your foot is all the way down and a BMW passes you at half throttle lol.
