01 Lexus ES300 knock sensor's interchangeable?
I own a 2001 Lexus ES300 Model# MCV20L-BTPGKA" and have the error code P0330 for Knock Sensor Bank 2. Car is on limp mode and I wish to replace the thing my only problem is If I change bank 2 I might as well change bank 1 as well. I plan on buying two oem denso Knock Control Sensors Part# 89615-12090 although they are the same sensor would they work for both bank 1 and 2 or do I need specific sensors for each bank? I also plan on changing the wiring harness with an Dorman/knock detonation sensor Part#917-032 is it wise to replace the wiring harness to are should I just skip this. I have a mechanic who I can pay to do the job so long as I bring my own parts.

I have the same issue. To answer the second question, i would change the harness as well. might as well change everything to avoid taking off the manifold again later down the road.

I ordered the Knock Sensor's two of them from Lpartsworld.com as for the harness no one sell's this OEM. Only aftermarket so Im going to buy one from Amazon and let you know how the install go. (If this dosent work im going to be severely pissed this is expensive)

Sorry for late reply but after install the car is running in perfect condition. I can now do things that were impossible for me before hand I never had an Overdrive problem on this 01 lexus but the Trac Off can now be toggled instead of remaining off. The car can easily pass 4rpm which I could never do before on my freeway drives (the engine would vibrate heavily and slow down if I tried going faster). I used to be stuck with 1-3 being my highest Rpm and 4rpm if I wanted to get to an mph quickly. The engine dosent make speeding up nosies anymore before it used to kick in a low gaining power noise which is absent now. All and all the fix went great. If your car suffers from knock sensor issues than I suggest do it now are as soon as possible this cost me about $500 both knock sensors were $350 the labor $150 and the wiring harness $32. My mechanic may have messed up something though as he taped some valves so I'll have to look into that at some other time.
