Did you check to see if you have any codes in memory?

if you have a scanner capable of recording real time data, than do that and see if anything unusual shows up.

If not , it maybe worth while to reset the computer by unplugging the battery for 10 min or so. At least this costs you nothing to try.

Check your fuel pressure and injectors for sticking.

Reminds me of this video:

yes they checked the fuel pump pressure-they said there are no codes and apparently diagnostics don't help much on a car this age-don't give much detailed info-crazy-nobody can figure this out-I guess I'll have to bite a huge bullet and go to the rip off dealer! Thanks to all for the advise.

thanks to all for much help-after trying two different repair shops-replacing sensors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and going nuts because nothing worked i accidentally found the problem! I really can't blame the repair shops except Lexus who said I needed a new transmission-that was WAY off-as it turns out after crawling underneath to make sure I had no leaks after the fuel pump replacement, I found a two inch section of the fuel line smashed almost completely flat!! I have no idea how this could have happened unless one of the many times i've had some sort of service I couldn't handle myself, they somehow placed a lift under the line. It is hard steel and almost impossible to bend-anyway I repaired the bent section and now she's good as new! what a nightmare!

^Glad to hear its fixed. Good your'e really observant as I doubt many shops would have thought to look for that.

With a crimped fuel line, this should show up in a fuel rail pressure test and in the fuel trims data, right??
