2000 ES300 - Keyfob, Squeak Over Speed Bumps, Steering Wheel Shake
Hi guys, I have a 2000 ES300 with a few things I want to take care of.
1. I got the car with an aftermarket key, but I would like to get a fob for remote unlocking/locking/trunk open. Can anybody recommend a good aftermarket one? I expect my local dealer wants an arm and a leg .
2. When I go over speed bumps slowly (<5 mph), I get a loud squeaking noise from the rear passenger side. I am guessing it is a bushing of some sort, can anybody provide any more insight?
3. Finally, if I let go of the steering wheel while the car is moving, it shakes/wiggles back and forth. If I brake above 40 MPH, there is some vibration...what should I check for this?
This is my second car and I like it a lot so far. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

For #2 check out this thread - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...n-refresh.html
It could be sway bar links or wheel hub bushings as mentioned in the thread
For #3, vibration when braking is usually rotors. If too much, resurface/replace the rotors

For the key, you can purchase one off eBay. However I haven't had the best of luck with them, they have a very short range, and intermittently work. My brother had better luck with his GS300.
Once you get it you'll need a locksmith or dealership to cut the key for you. My dealer charged $20.
To program the key, follow the instructions in this video:
If your car clunks over bumps, its either the strut mount or sway bar linkages. If it squeeks then its most likely the stabilizer bar bushings where it mounts to the subframe. Spray some silicone lubricant in them and see if the squeeking temporarily goes away to isolate the problem.
Warped brake rotors can cause steering vibration even though the brakes aren't depressed. I currently have this issue on my Solara and its because of a sticking master cylinder heating up and warping the rotors. The vibration in the pedal and steering wheel gets worse as speed increases and when I step on the brake. In your case, it might just be warped rotors or a dragging caliper.
