Weird issue with our '02 ES 300

Every so often when first started the "Brake" and "ABS" warning lights are illuminated and the speedometer fails to work. After about 2 minutes the lights go out and the speedometer starts working. Brakes feel fine during this event. Any thoughts? The car has 152M miles.

Get your car scanned for ABS codes using an advanced scanner or Toyota Techstream.
My feeling is a failing ABS sensor causing an intermittent problem.
