I purchased the car..I took it to a professional mechanic and turns out the check engine light is on because of an oxygen sensor that will only cost $350 to replace..I couldn't let that hold me back from buying this car..I really got a sweet deal @ $3700 for a car that is in very good condition with only 102,000 miles..I am very satisfied with my purchase and thank you all for your advice and feedback..

Congrats but $350 holy smokes! I strong suggest going to another mechanic or doing it yourself. Doesn't look like that car as been through many winters and if it doesn't have rust, buy an O2 wrench tool and some penetrating oil. The O2 sensor is likely 70-100 bucks part alone.

Buy a Denso or NGK off Amazon.

Not sure which one you need but if you do em yourself I'd go ahead and change both since once one goes, the other will soon follow.

Upstream Denso number is 234-9021, Downstream number is 234-4137.

Post pics of the car when you can, would like to see what it looks like all cleaned up.

I've had good luck with NGK O2 sensors in my dad's van, replaced both already but that car has over 300k miles!
Denso should be no different.

Our cars here see no snow so the rust is minimal for the undercarriage, things aren't usually super hard to remove.

Actually the car is sitting at 46.9k miles right now, up a little from last year. I have 3 cars so my ES300 mostly sits in the garage.
I live close enough to work so I walk, all my cars have super low mileage. We have a 2009 Honda Fit with 17k miles, bought it new.
Also got a 99 Camry with 84k, we had it for 2 years and got it at 80k for practically nothing from a friend.

I've mostly done minor repairs and maintenance on the ES, I do have a few mods in the works.

Have a set of Dual Piston Front Calipers and new rotors, getting JDM Project Mu pads from Japan soon, and hopefully Stainless Brake lines.

I need to finish my Nakamichi stereo swap, got all the parts sitting at home.

Here's my original thread, haven't updated it in some time though, you might get some ideas from all my ramblings :P
