Hey everyone,

So I've been dealing with random headlight issues every now and then. It started when I replaced the passenger side HID bulb in 2014 with one from Advance Auto Parts (Sylvania D2R).

Occasionally, the passenger side bulb will not turn on. I have to turn the lights off and back on multiple times, and then it will come on.

I'm not sure if this indicates a bad ballast or just an inferior bulb. I wish I had been patient and ordered the Philips bulb from Amazon instead.

I'm going to swap the drivers side and passenger side bulbs around today, so I can hopefully find what the cause of the problem is. But, figured I'd ask if someone has had something similar happen.

You're on the right track. That's the proper way to diagnose the problem.

Ok, thanks! Will let you know what the outcome is, may be a week or two.

Also, if a moderator sees this, can you please fix the thread title typo, should be HID not HIB. lol
