Help lexus es300 2002 - no sound
Hi everyone!
My car has a problem with the sound. The navigation head unit is working perfectly. It has power but when i turn on the key with the radio on, it has sound about 2 second and then it turn off with no sound. The volume **** cannot turn the volume on. It just can turn on and off the audio.
I try to fix it by disconecting the negative battery and check all fuses but it still with this problem.
I think it has problem with the amplifier. But i don't know where is it?
Anyone can help me with it? I has a lot of time with no sound....

its your amp
i had the same problem a few years back in my lexus es330 2004
navigation sound still works
it started out that the music radio sound would be on and off, then was off for forever
i narrowed it down to the mark levinson amp, based on other posts and stories on this forum
dealer would charge 1000+ for just a refurbished amp
there are also companies that will repair your amp if you mail it in, usually 450-500 bucks
what I did was buy the amp used from ebay - cost me $320, and replaced it myself, pretty easy to do.
the amp is located in the passanger side trunk under the felt paneling
there are three 10mm nuts to unscrew and two plugs for the cables (ML AMP), if you search youtube, you can find a video about replacement
worked right away for me and so glad to have music back in my life!
good luck!
