Default Toyota Windom headlights

Do these headlights directly bolt onto ES300 or theres modification needed to make them fit?

They appear identical. Where did you find Windom headlights?

If you want an upgrade, do a projector retro in the headlights you have now or with an clean OEM/aftermarket set.

Here's the retro I fitted to my fogs: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...x-led-30w.html

97-99 ES's will require some modification to get the headlights in the there properly. 00-01 should be a direct fit.

why is that? is it the rad support or maybe the bumper? do the 00-01 xenon headlights require any wiring modifications?

The zenki 97/99 light bolt up, as most for those years in Japanland were still halogen.

00/01, as mentioned need to tweak the rad support just a little bit - again, nothing major and a hammer or even metal sheers & mallet if you want to go super **** will get it done.

Wiring, well, this is up to your skill level. I have some pics in my thread somewhere here. It's not a step by step but gives you an idea of what to do.

If you're a novice, don't bother since you can screw up the car harness, but a multimeter [or common sense], i used the latter, will get you through it.

PS. and if you're talking 2nd gen, well they should bolt right up since there was no lighting differences in the model years there. BUT keep in mind your headlight slope/cutoff will be biased to the RH side of the car... and not the LH like you're used to now.
