Default Problem with 1996 ES 300 power antenna

Just joined today this is first post. My 96 ES300 power antenna raises up however motor does not stop just keeps running. Can this be stripped gears on the antenna mast? I removed the entire assembly fron the trunk and wanted to disassemble but not sure if parts would fly out. Any suggestions?

If it's like other power antennas, there is a limit switch that turns the motor off once it thinks it is extended. Pull the antenna out and pull the housing apart to look. Also, water always gets down into the housing and rusts stuff out.

Default Transmission maintenance

Removed transmission drain pan to replace gasket due to several drops on the driveway. Was suprised how easy it was to do. Gasket was baked on must have been the original. The most difficult task was to remove the gasket. Replaced with a rubber gasket. Filled with Max Life synthetic fluid and replaced filter also. Entire process took less than 3 hours. Fluid smelled a little burnt. I will run the car for a week and remove plug and drain and refill. The car is a daily driver. Will change oil pan gasket next.

Default Power Antenna update

Mmathney, got distracted with power antenna. I removed it from the trunk and currently looking for an entire replacement on Amazon. The radio still operates in FM. My next project is to replace the power steering hoses and the oil pan gasket. I've seen aftermarket power antenna assemblies for 40 to 50 dollars but I don't trust the quality of them. Will try to find a Toyota replacement in the next few days. Thanks again. Will update when I find one.
