Default 2000 lexus es300 no overdrive

Hi i recently replaced the right (bank2) Variable valve timing solenoid and Im still getting codes p1354, p1135,p1130, p0330,p0325 and p0125. Since replacing the VVT my car has less surging but still does not go into overdrive and i have high rpms at start up. At 60mph my rpm is at 3500 which i feel is to high. If anyone can help or has any suggestions as what to fix to get it into overdrive. Should i replace the knock sensors? If so is there only one wiring harnes i need to buy just curious because there are two banks and codes are coming up for both banks and sensors. Please help, thank you.

Replace both knock sensors and the short harness. Additionally, get the lower and upper intake plenum gaskets. I recommend using OEM parts.

I would just change the harness, that is usually the culprit. Knock Sensors rarely go bad. You can test them off the car to verify, if bad, go get a pair. You also need a new by-pass hose in order to access the sensors.

Agreed they normally don't go bad but they cannot be properly tested without an oscilloscope and signal generator.

Absolutely True.

My personal experience. I had a Knock Sensor error. I was torn about putting new sensors in because I am such a cheap basturd.

Removed sensors and they passed the resistance test just fine. I even put an impact wrench to it to make the sensor trip. Yeah, not too scientific but what the hell. Good excuse to buy new sensors. Put them back in.

Original harness was TOAST. Crumbled at the connectors on both ends. Swapped By-pass hose.

Bought an after market Harness at Oriely's. All was fine then it tripped again. :-/

Confused, I looked carefully at the harness going into the ECU. BINGO wires were frayed and exposed. I think my last trans drop allowed the engine to drop too far and pulled on the wiring, DOH

Went to Pick a Part and scavenged a good connector to ECU, spliced and heat shrunk the wires and VOILA, error code never came back.

I do not think they are, call them and ask what brand they are. If Denso, then that is OEM manufacturer.
