Repray, leave it, buy a new used?
I drive a 97 Lexus ES300. While its' only been 5 months, it has been a rock solid car. No issues. It does need new struts, but in terms of the engine, it drives well.
However, it has failing clear coat and paint. The car is bubbling up everywhere above the waste, the clear coat has peeled on the hood, up the roof, down to the trunk. Paint is flecking off at the hood and roof.
Basically I think it needs a total respray. I'm thinking of taking it to a paint shop, doing some prep work myself. I am even thinking having it towed to a shop and removing all I can, do a good wet sand, maybe that could do it? Max is close to $1000.
So, should I leave it, respray, or just look for a new ES?
I cant keep seeing this girl deteriorate. The paint is failing FAST. I love the ES300 however.
