2001 ES300 stalls Immediately after start
My 2001 ES300 with 154K miles was running fine, I've had no problems with it. I've religiously changed the oil every 4-5K miles . It's NEVER been in the shop for any major repairs.
Last week after starting ( it kicks over fine) when I remove my foot from the gas pedal it immediately stalls. Last year at this time while I was in FLA it started doing the exact same thing at which time I replaced the air filter and it ran fine afterwards. I live in the northeast now
In trying to diagnose the problem per the instructions on this site I removed the Idle Air Control Valve
and cleaned it up but upon reinstalling it had no effect. Troubleshooting further I found that if I removed the thin vacuum hose from the diaphragm like device attached to the front of the throttle body (pictured below) the would idle at about 500 rpms and I could drive it . So I drove over to Auto Zone and had a meter reading made and the following codes where returned.:
P0110 Intake air Temperature Sensor Circuit 1
P0100 Mass or Volume air flow circuit
P0120 Throttle Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit.
Can anyone direct me to the correct component to replace?
Thanks,
Danfall

Remove and reconnect the MAF sensor wire connector, it may have not seated all the way, it must click in. Look at the connector for damage, like bent pins or dirt.
If connection is solid, by some MAF cleaner ( do not use anything else ), remove MAF wash it thoroughly, let it dry out over night and put back into the car. DO NOT start it right away, MAF cleaner may not have dried out, it could damage the MAF.
Also check the air filter is on properly, it appears you have a un-regulated air flowing through to the throttle body
