Default I'm an idiot. I need help!

Hey guys pretty basic mistake. I accidentally reversed the cables when trying to boost my car. Now the interior/ exterior lights, radio, heated seats, anything power doesn't work. I also can't shift my car out of P. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. It''s a 1999 es300

you probably blew a fuse somewhere or a few...

check all fuse boxes, there's one that runs along the radiator support, next to the battery and in that coin compartment in the left lower dash.

You probably blew the 100 amp fuse. To replace I think you have to unclip and pull that section of the fuse block out of the main housing then remove a screw or bolt that holds the fuse in. I'm guessing here never done it on the ES.

I have replaced the main 120amp fuse before....you have to lift up the entire fuse box and unbolt from underneath....

You can go here to see what it looks like on a 2000 Camry I4. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/10...ible-link.html It looks fairly similar.

If you can't shift out of park it's the 100/120 amp fuse.

If by chance you do need to shift out of Park, that is what that little black plastic inset in the upper left corner of the shifter surround is for. It is a manual over-ride for the transmission interlock. Depress it with the key or other slim tool and then you can shift to neutral to tow or roll the vehicle.
