Optima Battery Fittment 05 ES330
So I need some advice because i'm sure someone has run into this problem before.
I Recently installed a my aftermarket Amp and Sub into stock Deck using Line output Converter.
All went pretty smooth, only ran into 1 issue which i'll mention after my Question about Optima Install.
I pulled a yellow top optima out of my toyota t100 before I sold it and had planned on installing it in the lexus. Well when I went to swap batts of coarse the Terminals are on opposite sides, So my next brilliant idea was Hey i'll just turn the Batt around 180.. Problem now is that the factory connectors aren't long enough to reach
So I'm trying to think outside the box here and make it work, because to my knowledge (and someone correct me if i'm wrong, but if the optima has more CCA's than the stock lexus battery I am currently running then there should be no starting/running issues going forward with the optima.
Came across this post on the ttora forum

I'm trying to avoid cutting and Splicing on new connectors as I don't have the Heavy gauge Crimping tool, nor the right soldering gun for the job.
Thinking about trying to bolt the stock connectors onto an aftermarket one then aftermarket to the posts.
Any Help or ideas greatly appreciated lemme know thx!!

Oh ya and to help anyone out who is trying to install an aftermarket amp the wiring diagram I found online is accurate for all but 1 (very necessary remote turn on wire) so if you're looking for a switched remote wire to hook your amp upto then it's gonna be the SMALL Grey wire coming from the larger cluster attached to the back of the deck! Hope this helps someone from being confused like i was

I installed a D35 Optima Yellow top in my car a few months ago, yeah the Positive terminal is on the left side and slightly far in.
Also the battery moves a bit cause it's smaller that the stock battery size, I was able to tighten it and keep it from moving by using some rubber pads.
So you might want to try something like this, low and behold they make a product to extend the terminal, it also has a disconnect **** that allows you to cut power to the car if you need to.
I used their Felt Pads, NOCO with the anti corrosion spray.

Ah I see! That looks like it would do the trick thanks. I feel like the extra length is crucial even though I coulda maybe stretched it I didn't like the idea of road vibes straining or disconnecting anything when I'm doin 70 on the freeway 😂
Gonna see how the optima does but when I get money I'm planning on dropping in a highlander or sienna 150/60 amp alt as I've been reading they should be bolt on. Before that gotta do the big 3 though obviously.
