Default front passenger floor mat - hooks?

Is the front passenger floor mat supposed to have holes in it to hook on the hooks like the drivers side does? Mine has a Lexus passenger mat, but no holes in it.

Mine is a 2001 and the hook is only on the driver side. I assume yours should be the same.

Strange thing is, there are holes where the hooks could go in the passenger floor!

You can get those hooks from the dealer. Less than $5

that was probably leftover from the JDM template or someone forgot to remove those from the jdm design lol.

Ever wonder why there's those "oh Shet" handles on the drivers side ceiling?

Does it even make sense for the driver to be gripping that handle with one hand and driving with the other? lol just food for thought lol.

You mean the Elderly support bar? I've never used that handle to help me get in or out of the seat, but I guess I'd rather have it there than not have it there.

All cars that I've owned only had the carpet hooks/hardware on the driver's side.
Is there even corresponding holes on the passenger floor mats? If not you would have to make those holes if you want to add hooks there...

No holes on the mat. My '08 Tacoma has the hooks and holes on the passenger side!

My 05 ES330 has grommets in the carpet (front and rear) for the hooks. So I purchased the hooks and some black metal grommets and added them to the floor mats. It is fantastic that none of the floor mats creep around any more!
