"New Style Rotors???
I recently noticed that my '02 ES300 with 4100 miles has a shimmy when braking from highway speeds. I took it to the dealer today. I picked it up after the service shop was closed so I didn't get to talk to the service manager, but the invoice (warranty paid) shows they replaced the pads and rotors (it's not clear if they did all 4 or just the front two as I suspect) with "New Style Rotors and Pads".
Any of you know what this means? : Did they update the parts? My car was built in early June, 2002. Perhaps there was an update and my problem is common? It really doesn't matter now I don't think but I am just curious.

Sounds like you had TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) #BR2007 performed.
