Broken wire harness mystery part
Hi fellas,
I found this what seems like a broken wire with it's clip. I have no idea where it belongs, what it does, part number etc.
It's located on the block from the passengers side in front of the firewall.
Heres some pics:
Please chime in on what this is.

Not sure probably a water temp sensor but that is repairable. Remove the connector then remove the pin, crimp or solder the wire back on (don't forget to put the rubber grommet onto the wire first) and put it back together. You might have to lengthen the wire depending on how much slack you have to play with.
Does the temp gauge in the dash work?

Good reminder to put the grommet in first.
Yea, the temperature gauge is perfectly fine.

That is only the housing not the lead or wire so you'll have to remove the lead anyway and splice/repair.

Bro, that's wrong, I've dealt with that connector many times.
lol, that's the single pin connector that goes to the powersteering Banjo bolt which connects the High pressure hose to the powersteering pump.
I believe it's function is a sensor to help regulate the pump when you're turning at low speeds or like when the car isn't moving to make it easier for you to turn.
But Yah either way you gonna have to unplug, de-pin and re-splice to repair. The ideal way would be to re-terminate the wire with a brand new crimp pin, that is if the wire is still long enough to reach.
